GdS: CSKA Moscow star waiting for a signal from Milan as Zenit ready €25m offer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan still want to sign Nikola Vlasic from CSKA Moscow but they face competition in the race to land him, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that if it were up to him Vlasic would probably already be at Milanello training with Stefano Pioli’s team, but his Milan dream remains in strong doubt. The Croatia international wants to join Milan and he has expressed this to the management of CSKA Moscow, who are now wavering in the face of an offer of €25m from Zenit St. Petersburg.

The Moscow club are looking for money to be put into its accounts immediately, and are very attracted by the offer of Zenit as they would pay €25m now. If Milan do not want to lose out on a key target, they will need to accelerate in the next few days.

The Rossoneri want a loan with option to buy while CSKA want to be sure of collecting money for their star player, therefore through sale outright or at most on loan with obligation to buy. Vlasic is waiting for a signal from Milan and is also willing to accept a lower salary than the one Zenit are ready to offer him.

  1. Milan does not have money to invest in decent players. For this reason, Krunic will be the first option on that role.

  2. Offer 20 mill + 2 mill bonuses (for UCL qlf) and he’ll join us. It is a pretty fair price considering how much we spent for Castillejo, Caldara, Conti and other unsuited players.
And CSKA wouldn’t sell their top player their main rivals if there’s an alternative option accepted by the player.
