GdS: Deal likely as Milan arrange more talks over €50m star – the details…

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still locked in talks with Atletico Madrid over Angel Correa having already secured an agreement with the player, a report claims.

Correa seems to be the priority for the Rossoneri leadership at present, having already secured the signings of Theo Hernandez, Rade Krunic, Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer.

We reported earlier in the week that Milan are optimistic over striking a deal for Correa. Personal terms have already been agreed with the player, so all that remains is an agreement with Atleti.

Sunday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it) provide an update on the situation by claiming that more talks are set for next week between the two clubs.

In those meeting, Milan are hoping to ‘define the basis of the negotiation’ and then move towards agreeing the complete package (including bonuses).

The demands of the LaLiga club have not changed: they want €50million despite the fact Diego Simeone does not see him as part of the team’s plans

Milan meanwhile are only willing to offer €40m, but the report hints that bonuses could be a shortcut towards striking an agreement.

La Gazzetta re-iterates that the player only wants a move to San Siro and that personal terms are agreed, and they consider the deal likely to happen so as to satisfy the player’s will.
