Paolo Maldini has once again declared his love for AC Milan, a report claims, but his future remains to be decided.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday (via MilanNews), the increasingly persistent rumours about Ralf Rangnick and the German’s desire to come to Milan have clearly influenced the current technical area and their decisions.
Maldini spoke to ‘Che tempo che fa’ on Sunday night and declared: “My family’s history with AC Milan is so long that it is difficult will have an end.”
Despite these declarations of love, Maldini’s future as a technical director is still to be defined. The former Rossoneri captain has already spoken out twice about the possible arrival of Rangnick, claiming he is not the right profile for Milan before branding him ‘disrespectful’ for a recent interview.
Despite this, Elliott Management and CEO Ivan Gazidis seem to have decided and everything suggests that the German will arrive. Obviously this will have repercussions on the future of Maldini, which continues to be very uncertain.
Co-existence with Rangnick seems impossible, especially when considering that Maldini waited several years to return to Milan and have an important role and responsibility, so he will never accept to be left with less power.
