GdS: Donnarumma deadline 98 days away – the latest including new offer and PSG’s interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s focus remains the renewal of Gianluigi Donnarumma, but the countdown to his contract expiry has ticked below 100 days.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the parties have been in constant contact for several months now, but an agreement has not yet been found. Milan do not want to be caught unprepared in the event he leaves, so they are starting to look around for possible replacements, with more on that to come.

The Rossoneri’s priority remains to extend Donnarumma’s contract and will do anything to convince him to stay, having offered to increase his salary from €6m net per year to €8m net per year,  but for now his agent Mino Raiola has not given any answer to the Milan management. At this stage, the parties have agreed not to make other agreements, so the rumours about PSG’s interest does not worry Milan.

It is not excluded that in the next few days there may be a new meeting between Maldini, Massara and Raiola in the hope of unblocking the situation. With the Champions League appearing ever closer, the club hope that progress can be made towards the signing of Gigio’s renewal.
