Gianluigi Donnarumma will not be available for Sunday’s game between AC Milan and Genoa as he continues his recovery from injury.
That is according to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday (via MilanNews), who are claiming that Donnarumma is still struggling with the ankle problem he sustained against Fiorentina and for this he will be absent on Sunday against Genoa.
The paper claims though that the condition of the 21-year-old should not be a worry for the Rossoneri staff or the fans, but simply the player and Pioli have decided not to force the recovery time.
Gigio will therefore have plenty of time to return to the next Milan match that should be in Lecce depending on the rescheduling, and Asmir Begovic will be between the posts on Sunday when the Rossoblu visit the San Siro.
