GdS: Donnarumma’s future at Milan in ‘serious doubt’ due to ‘deafening silence’ from ownership

By Oliver Fisher -

Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future at AC Milan beyond the summer is reportedly now in ‘serious doubt’ due to the lack of movement regarding a new deal.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper has a contract which expires at the end of next season, meaning Milan are in a hurry to resolve his future or they risk letting him enter the last year of his deal.

Donnarumma currently makes €6m-a-year which is the most of any player in the current squad (with the exception of Ibrahimovic), and a number of reports have claimed that Elliott Management do not want to go above this.

According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), agent Mino Raiola asked Milan’s management to make it clear what to do regarding the renewal of Donnarumma.

However, the paper adds that the Rossoneri’s ownership has remained in deafening silence ever since and for this reason it appears the goalkeeper is heading towards a summer exit.
