GdS: Five days of fire for Milan begin with tricky trip to Fiorentina

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a ‘week of fire’ coming up starting with tonight’s game at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) reports that Milan have four crucial days ahead of them, beginning with a game against Fiorentina that is crucial in the bid to secure a top four spot and then moving ahead to Wednesday’s game in London against Tottenham, aiming to get into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Stefano Pioli changed formation after losing 5-2 against Sassuolo on Sunday and the feeling is that the three-man defence has helped Milan rediscover their solidity. Tonight, for the first time since the chance, they will face a back four as Fiorentina set up with a 4-3-3.

Milan could well set up with a back four in front of Mike Maignan though as we have seen in recent games, but either way the four victories in a row amassed without conceding a goal suggest things are heading the right way.
