GdS: Forget Jovic or Milik – surprise new solution opens up to reinforce Milan’s attack

A new idea has emerged as AC Milan look for depth in the centre-forward department ahead of next season, according to a report.

Several names have been linked in recent weeks such as that of Luka Jovic of Real Madrid or Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik, but La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) believe that the aforementioned duo are not attainable targets for Milan at present due to economic issues and the competition.

Therefore, a new solution is being considered to add depth to the striker department in Primavera star Lorenzo Colombo. The 18-year-old is one of the best talents that has come out of the academy in recent years and made his debut against Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg in June.

He is tall and physical with an excellent sense of goal, and while he still has a lot of developing to do there is an argument that learning alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic – should he stay – is absolutely ideal given the mould of centre-forward he is.
