GdS: From head coach to sponsors – Gazidis has six key issues to solve this summer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis has a number of different key issues to address at the club over the summer, according to a report.

Wednesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) explains that the most urgent practice is undoubtedly the one that concerns the cut of the salaries. Milan want to reduce the players’ salaries on the Juventus model (a small deduction on the salaries of the current season) and has presented its proposal to the players who will have to give an answer between this week and the next.

There are two other issues that Gazidis must face in the short term: the first concerns sponsors, while the second concerns the new stadium.

As regards the first issue, the official renewal with Emirates and the announcement of a couple of new partnerships are expected in the coming weeks. Instead, the dialogue on the new stadium that Milan and Inter want to build together continues with the Council: the two clubs expect further positive results quickly.

In terms of on-field matters, first of all there is the issue of the coach: on the one hand there are in fact the constant rumors about Rangnick, on the other there is Pioli, whose work in recent months on the Rossoneri bench has also been highly appreciated by Gazidis himself.

As soon as Ibrahimovic returns to Italy, Gazidis will have to meet the Swede, whose future is still very uncertain. Finally, there is another very delicate issue, that is, that concerns the fate of Paolo Maldini: the manager continues to work tirelessly, but in the event of a weakened role his stay at Milan appears very difficult.
