One of the focus points for the AC Milan management ahead of the summer window is to improve the right wing, and the gears are moving in talks over two targets.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Chukwueze could soon become the sixth Nigerian player in the history of Milan after Taye Taiwo, Taribo West, Aliyu Datti, Kinsgley Umunegbu and Nnamdi Oduamadi.
Today, Milan will start negotiations with Villarreal to see if the conditions exist to get around the obstacles, which essentially means lowering their asking price and moving towards a permanent deal.
The 24-year-old seems the perfect fit for Milan because of his age and his profile, given that Stefano Pioli wants a winger who has explosive pace and an eye for goal, to take some of the burden away from Rafael Leao.
After 207 total matches, 37 goals and 31 assists for Villarreal, the player wants to join Milan. He has already said yes to the Rossoneri’s offer, attracted by the big ambitions and the equally substantial figures of his €3m net per season contract (plus bonuses).
The LaLiga side want €25m plus bonuses, with almost certainty of being able to reach €30m. Milan do not want to go too far beyond the threshold of €20m – with the possible addition of performance-related bonuses – given he has a year on his deal.
The clubs – with CEO Furlani representing the Rossoneri – will start talking in the next few hours with the aim of reaching an agreement.
Not really a fan of this move, especially if it means we can’t sign Kamada, but I hope it moves along one way or another soon.
Does amuse me that Chukwueze is seen as an ‘up and comer’ and Pulisic seen as ‘washed up’ by a portion of people, when they’re both the same age.

That’s what I thought but atleast kamada is in a position where there are many options on the market such as samardzic while the RW market is pretty limited and Chukwueze can be a top player imo

What? Why would you want Kamada over any of these guys? Chukwueze and Pulisic are great player with a lot of potential, Kamada is older than both of them and just an average player. He’s not better than either of them.
Chuk is very fast and if he’s anything close to Leao in form he could create more than an AM. Look at Leao last season, ran away from players game after game and created opportunities, without a reliable AM.
Kamada, while free, probably had comparable alternatives without passport issues.
Wow… Lots of huge successes from Nigeria before. One more name to the list I guess… Probably wiser to use the money for a guaranteed success than “doing a CDK” on the Nigerian. Get Orsolini – or heck, even Berardi – for a similar if not lower price. At least they guarantee +10 goals and several assists in Serie A.

Bet lost my friend. But Kamada is at least free and more versatile to occupy different roles on field, while Chuk is an overpriced one trick pony. Kind of like Suso.
If we were asked about the transfer, we probably wouldn’t have brought anyone, because as far as I can see, we don’t like any player that the club sees as a possible reinforcement!
If milan signs chukwesa, musah, reijneers for sure next year scudetto is for us but I doubt thse stingy management/owners to bring all thse players

I’m still salty with that Loftus Cheek signing, we can get Kamada and Chukwueze but instead we get an injury prone player that is average at best, what’s wrong with this management man. KAMADA is literally free, I mean free and they choose to give the 1 slot to a 16mil injury prone player???? Helllooo???

Get Kamada for free and Arda Guler from Fenerbahce for €17,5 millions + agent comission with longterm contract deal. And maybe also get Dario Osorio from Universidad Chile for €10 millions.
Guler, who you have never heard of before June? No. Osorio is non EU and he plays on the left, he would be wasted as back-up for Leao.
