The AC Milan management will soon meet with the entourage of Olivier Giroud to try reach an agreement over renewing his deal, a report claims.
According to what was reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, the meeting between the Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara with Giroud’s entourage is scheduled for tomorrow to resume the dialogue regarding the renewal of his deal, which expires in June.
The will of both parties is to continue together, but the salary is an aspect that will have to be negotiated given that the French centre-forward would like an upward adjustment that would see him earn the same as Divock Origi (€4m net per season).
Giroud currently receives €3.5m net per year so it would not be a huge pay hike, and at the moment it is expected that he will extend another season with Milan with an option for a second.
Season 22/23
Kolo Muani 14 goals, 14 assists
In Milan he would have 0goals and 0 assists.
Of course. Messi would need 3 to 5 years to adapt to Pioliball.
yeah thats why Milan won the league last season, that was so painful for you
He would score what Giroud did x2 at least. You can’t waste that many chances as Olivier does.
We will never know because instead of signing a healthy 23 year old , who was recommended to them by Moncada and offered to Milan for FREE, they decided to sign an injured benchwarmer.
Yeah… Let’s just not renew him at all
Correct. Save that salary for someone else.
Well he does deserve it more than Origi, but to be honest, both don’t deserve that money.
Yeah 37 years old next year, and he is asking for more money. If they renew him with a bigger wage m&m will proove their mediocrity again.
They were mediocre when they signed CDK
Sell Origi for sure, and while we’re at it. Sell Bakayoko. What disappointments.
I thought Milan was supposed to have an incredible scouting team. It’s so good, none of the new players get to play!
Giroud at 4m is a tough sell but Milan needs a personality like him but on the flip side, what is Giroud doing now as a leader? What is Ibra doing?
Unfortunately, selling Bakayoko means that money will have to change hands and that’s not going to happen. I think Origi needs to play CF – he’s too big for a winger and I think he and Leao would click given a few games together. Old man Giroud can take a ‘well-earned’ break..
