GdS: Hope for Milan and Juventus as price of Fiorentina star Chiesa has been slashed

By Oliver Fisher -

The asking price of reported AC Milan and Juventus target Federico Chiesa has dropped by at least €10m, a report claims.

In recent weeks, the Rossoneri have been heavily linked with Chiesa, as Stefano Pioli reportedly wants to reunite with the winger. Just a few days ago, MilanNews branded the Fiorentina star as Milan’s ‘dream signing’ this summer.

In addition, agent and journalist Lorenzo De Santis has suggested that Milan are on pole position to land the Italy international.

“I see Chiesa moving away from Florence. The right offer could be €45-50m and I am informed about a strong acceleration from Milan who are also holding discussions for Milenkovic. I see a very hot Florence-Milan axis,” he said.

La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting (via Firenzeviola) that the prices of a number of star players within Serie A is set to fall due to the economic conditions of the summer market.

If Chiesa, for example, one summer ago was worth even €70million, today Rocco Commisso has dropped his asking price to €60m and the risk is that the offers are even lower.

Furthermore, it will be necessary to see the player will play ball by extending his contract with Fiorentina, or La Viola run the risk of his value decreasing even more.
