GdS: How Milan beat Bayern to Kalulu – he will push two players towards being sold

By Oliver Fisher -

Pierre Kalulu will arrive in Milano on Monday to undergo a medical before signing his first ever professional contract with the Rossoneri, a report claims.

Monday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) confirms the French talent is expected today in Italy for his medical and will be the first summer reinforcement for the club.

He will arrive on a free transfer from Lyon, thanks to a report by the chief scout Geoffrey Moncada and the decisive lunge of technical director Paolo Maldini, who convinced the player just as he did with Theo Hernandez last summer.

Kalulu never made his first team debut, which the paper claims is out of spite due to the fact he played hard ball over a new deal. The 19-year-old is a right back, but he can also play as a left-back or even a centre-back if needed.

Bayern Munich also followed the player closely, but Milan moved decisively to sign him on a five-year contract. His arrival should mean that one of Andrea Conti and Davide Calabria gets sold – if not both.
