AC Milan have made two signings so far this summer, if we include Mario Gila who is very close, so Ruben Amorim’s starting eleven is already taking shape.
Goncalo Ramos was announced earlier this week, arriving for a record-breaking fee, and Milan are on the brink of securing Gila from Lazio too. In short, two direct requests from Amorim are about to arrive, certainly strengthening the team.

The Rossoneri are hoping to get a total agreement for Gila on Monday, i.e. tomorrow, and move on to other targets from there. This was reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, and in the paper, there was also an image of the potential XI for next season.
Gila and Ramos would both come into the team, as you would expect, while Christopher Nkunku would take the role to the left instead of Rafael Leao. While the Frenchman initially looked set to leave, it seems Amorim views him as a good fit for the team.
As Modric looks set to stay too, he could keep his spot as the starter in the centre of the pitch, teaming up with Adrien Rabiot once again. The rest is very much what you would expect, with Christian Pulisic set to play a key role as well.
For our own sake i hope this won’t be our starting 11 and that this picture is wrong,for many reasons:
Nkunku can’t be a starter, not reliable and was only managed to start playing well in the back end of the season
Having Barthesagi as a starting LWB/LM is a disaster waiting to happen, with 3 competitions on the line, more so if we take into accounts that he struggled this last season and wasnt playing good for a majority of the season, where Milan only played in 1 competition, so a better player must be signed for that left side
And lastly, i respect Gabbia but not as a 1st team player. Too many mistakes and average displays. Really hope they get Inacio for that central CB. Having Gabbia as a rotation for EL or cups will be great tho.

Please elaborate supported by evidences. Statistically Gabbia has been most reliable and stable central defender for second season in a row.

With him on the pitch, Milan have lost only once in the league, managing to win 15 games and draw nine. Without him, the Rossoneri have won four of eight matches, losing the remaining four.
The average points haul in matches where Gabbia is present is 2.16, while in his absence the figure drops to 1.5.
Absolutely! Gabbia has been solid! He should remain untouchable and he’s the one that actually needs the reinforcements in that shi*** defence, he needs the right players alongside him. There’s nothing much he can do on his own; neither Tomorri nor De Winter can compliment his qualities. Personally I’d have him paired with Leoni or Scalvini, (I’d even invest on both of them) but since both are unattainable, Gila it is. And even more so, he deserves the armband more than anyone else in that team.
Apart from the fact he isn’t Italian, Gila’s a way better option than Leoni or Scalvini… and Gabbia’s decent – I love the guy and everything- but let’s not get carried away – he’s a bench player in every great Milan side of the last 35 years…

Milan needs Quality and smart signings. If Gonzalo Ramos Gets injured then who will deputise for Him. Folarin Balogun looks Good for me. Leao is already out the Door hopefully for 70m North. Nkunku should follow him too. BARCOLA is a Good Signing if we can get him

too many changes also not good for us even more when the last 3 seasons were catastrophic with respect to our standards. Brahim Diaz is good idea will bring some balance and when I watched him at Real he was such a selfless player, very underrated.

In am never a fan of a 3 back system. Why just not switch to 4321 instead of 3421. If we are serious next season, Madrid should be out of the team. No one should be swayed by his good past, cos we all saw how he dipped in form after few months. We still lack that creative dynamo in the middle, but no to modric. We should act fast in that area

I’d move Pulisic to the left and pair him with Zaniolo or Chiesa, easily, if that were to be an option but we know it’s not.

Pulisic gets the left side and the number 10.
Bartesaghi single handedly caused more goals than any defender in the team. His costly errors and lack of defensive quality was clear all season. His error against Napoli effectively ended Milan’s CL hopes…there is no way he should be a starter.
Yeah like that penalty he gave away when the ball came over his left hand shoulder and was volleyed from his right hand side to his left arm from less than a yard away.
He really should’ve done a Matrix-type move where he stopped time itself.
One of Milan’s big problems last season was not only limited starting quality but also very poor depth on the bench. Players were thrown in because of lack of options (w/ Bartesgahi for example) and others who started well, like Alexis, got burned out halfway through the season because of no natural replacements.
So far there are still positions of need that have to be addressed. With Gila coming hopefully coming in we still need another quality CB. Both wings need upgrading (no matter how you feel about Bartesaghi) and the midfield needs strengthening – if we’re heading to a double pivot with wingers, then Rabiot is the only one good enough for it.
And if and when the starting 11 is sorted, we still need to address the depth and replacements. if you play the starting 11 in the league and in EL, you will burn them out or injure them and then we’re back to mid-table team results.
There’s so much work to be done still, and I don’t yet have faith that it gets done by this management no matter what overhaul they go through.
