Zlatan Ibrahimovic is working very hard to be available for the first game of the 2021-22 Serie A season, according to a report.
According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic’s recovery is well underway and his mission has been clear from the start: to be ready for Round 1 of the new league season on August 23.
His programme is going well, even if it will take just over a week to see the 39-year-old back on the pitch at Milanello. Once he is back to running, Ibra will only have to find his top condition with the squad and will be working with the ball against. For the moment, the Rossoneri centre-forward is sweating in the gym, managing each stage with the utmost caution.
Ibrahimovic has been at Milanello even on the rest days granted to the team simply because his is desperate to get back in shape for the start of the season. Pioli is confident that he will have him available for Sampdoria in a few weeks. He will be back on the field in early August and will have about twenty days to secure his spot for the trip to Genoa.
