Zlatan Ibrahimovic is growing more central to the overall project at AC Milan with each passing day, as the Swede now has an additional focus on the Rossoneri youth sector.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), the former striker seems to be gaining more responsibility and power at the club with each passing day as he is really impressing Gerry Cardinale.
His initial role upon rejoining the club was to be a senior advisor for RedBird and Milan, but Cardinale has spoken about how Ibrahimovic has essentially become ‘his man in Milan’ that he can source information from about the daily runnings and atmosphere at the club.
He has been dividing his time between Casa Milan, Milanello, and Vismara, which is the home of the Milan youth sector.
It seems that Ibrahimovic’s next move to exert influence over Milan is the hiring of Jovan Kirovski, the coach who signed him at LA Galaxy. It is thought to be linked to the first or second team that Milan hopes to register in Serie C for next season.
Few would have expected Ibrahimovic to become so powerful so quickly, but Cardinale appears to be very happy with his work so far.
