Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return to action is getting closer but he may miss two crucial domestic fixtures, according to a report.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic’s return to the field will in fact not happen immediately after the break for the World Cup as had been suggested by some.

Instead, it will be necessary to wait a few more games in order for the Swede to get himself close to 100% after what has been a long absence since June. The 41-year-old is recovering from the knee operation he had in May, so caution is needed, but he should be available to Pioli again between the end of January and the beginning of February.
The Rossoneri play Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana on 18 January in Saudi Arabia and the suggestion is that Zlatan won’t be back for that, but could be there for the return league derby on 5 February and of course the Champions League round of 16 tie against Spurs.
