GdS: Ibrahimovic has not travelled with Milan squad to Turin for Juventus clash – the reason

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not made the trip with the team to Turin for their Coppa Italia semi-final second leg, it is claimed.

The Swede picked up a booking during the first leg at San Siro – a game which ended 1-1 – which meant that he will be suspended for the return fixture due to having been shown a yellow card twice in the competition already.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ibrahimovic was forced to stay at Milanello for the trip north. The Allianz Stadium can accommodate a maximum of 300 people in the stands, including coaching staff and managers.

As a result, he has been forced to stay behind in Milano and will follow the game from there. He took advantage of the situation to train separately, with the aim of recovering the muscular condition in view of the resumption of the Serie A season, the outlet confirms.
