GdS: Ibrahimovic has several doubts about the future of Milan; his renewal unlikely

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s days at AC Milan are numbered as he is highly unlikely to extend his deal with the club for another year, a report claims.

Several outlets have recently suggested that the corporate chaos Milan have experienced over the past few weeks – which led to the dismissal of Boban – has left the striker very perplexed at the current situation and as a result he could even retire from football.

Wednesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) explains that Ibrahimovic has many doubts in his mind regarding the Rossoneri, such as what the plans and objectives are for the future, what the squad will look like and who will be the head coach for next season.

The paper claims that Swede in continuing to reflect and hopes that the future of Milan will be less foggy in the coming weeks, but for the moment his stay seems very complicated.

With Boban already gone, Paolo Maldini and Stefano Pioli could also leave. All three pushed strongly in January to sign the 38-year-old and their departure could therefore convince Ibra to leave too.

Every scenario remains possible, as has been proven by Zlatan’s illustrious career, but at the moment his retirement seems the most likely option, the report concludes.
