GdS: Ibrahimovic is warmed up again – his scoring rate is better than Inter and Juventus stars

By Oliver Fisher -

Perhaps as we should have expected it was Zlatan Ibrahimovic who had the decisive say against Cagliari on Monday night.

He scored either side of the interval to ensure that the Rossoneri will be top at the half way point of the season as they ran out 2-0 winners. As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports this morning (via MilanNews), the Swede had warmed up his engine against Torino and showed at the Sardegna Arena that he is back.

His pace scoring pace is even more phenomenal than in the past as he has netted 12 times in the current Serie A campaign, with five braces in seven starts. The Milan striker has tied Lukaku, but the Belgian has played nine more games, and shortened the gap to Cristiano Ronaldo (15 goals).

The Inter centre-forward scores a goal every 104 minutes on average, CR7 one every 79, but Zlatan travels at the impressive pace of a goal every 52 minutes. After more than a month of forced absence, the 39-year-old doesn’t want to stop anymore.
