GdS: Ibrahimovic ready to take substantial pay cut in order to stay at Milan – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly ready to make a sacrifice in order to stay at AC Milan beyond the summer and sign a new deal.

It seemed almost certain that Ibrahimovic would be leaving at the end of the season, but the subsequent U-turn in the club’s plans regarding the arrival of Ralf Rangnick has seemingly reopened the door for the Swede to stay.

According to Monday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic wants to stay at all costs to Milan and for this reason he would also be willing to reduce his salary.

The paper explains that the Swede could “settle” for a salary of €3million per season net, something which would be an important sacrifice by the striker who received the same figure for the six-month deal he signed in January.

Ibrahimovic has amassed seven goals and four assists in 16 Serie A appearances since his return to Milan.
