GdS: Ibrahimovic recharging his batteries with two new victims in his sights

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be looking to ensure he marks his next start with a goal after a couple of difficult recent games.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports (via MilanLive), the Swede wants to put the Coppa Italia derby and the missed penalty against Bologna behind him with games against Crotone and Spezia coming up.

The paper writes how the 39-year-old has never scored against these two teams in his career, but he has also never faced them either. Ibrahimovic has netted against 30 of the 33 teams he has faced so far in Italy, with Bari, Treviso and SPAL the three still to conquer.

In the next two rounds of the season he has the opportunity to stamp his card also against Crotone and Spezia, after missing the first fixtures this season due to being COVID-positive. He has been without goals in the league for two rounds, so he wants to change that and keep Milan top.

Stefano Pioli has given the group two days off after the away match in Bologna, so that Zlatan has time to recharge his batteries and better prepare himself for the next games.
