GdS: Ibrahimovic set to meet Milan management as uncertainty clouds future

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not yet made a decision on his future and he will soon meet the management to discuss plans, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how Paolo Maldini, Frederic Massara and Ivan Gazidis will continue as the management under Gerry Cardinale, the leading man of new owners RedBird Capital.

The target will be to retain the title and get a second star ahead of their city rivals Inter, but among the issues to be resolved is also the one concerning the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede’s impact off the field has been huge, while he has been kept away from the field by repeated injuries in 2022 and will not return until January 2023 after undergoing surgery.

Everything rests on the post-operation recovery plan made to definitively resolve the instability of the knee joint, through the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament with lateral reinforcement and meniscal repair.

In a few days the player will meet Maldini and Massara to take stock of the situation and there is the idea of a contract heavily weighted on appearances and goals. In any case, Zlatan will decide what is best.
