GdS: Ibrahimovic tackling the Milan challenge head on – the secrets of his professionalism

By Oliver Fisher -

When it comes to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the discussion often starts and  ends with his age, but given how he has been playing since he returned to Milan in January, it is clear that this is just a simple number.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports, the Swede has started the 2020-21 season with three goals in his first two official matches, and only in the 2014-2015 season with PSG has he had a better return (four in two games).

The impact that Zlatan had on Pioli’s Milan is there for all to see: on the pitch he is still decisive, but the most important impact has been in the locker room, where he changed the mentality of his team-mates who now perform significantly better than the first part of last season.

The paper adds that Ibrahimovic has two secrets: every day the striker undergoes hard training in the gym and also takes great care of his nutrition.

At 38, to stay in shape, it is essential to take care of every detail even more. Ibra knows this well and leaves nothing to chance, and in a career full of challenges a return to Milan is perhaps one of the most complicated he has ever had to face, but he is tackling it head on.
