GdS: Ibrahimovic wants to play vs. Lecce and has key objective before Milan farewell

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ready to return and help the team achieve a key objective in what could be his final few weeks at the club.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Swede’s relationship with Milan is no longer the same as it was a few months ago. Despite this, Ibrahimovic is determined to return to the field immediately to try to help the team conquer a European spot.

The 38-year-old wants to end his second spell with the Rossoneri on the best possible terms and is looking forward to returning to the field, so much so that he is already back in training.

Another check on his calf problem is scheduled for the start of the week, but Zlatan is ‘quivering with the desire to go back to playing’ and doesn’t want to waste time.

The paper adds that at the end of the season he will probably return to Sweden as it will be difficult – if not impossible – to find an agreement on a renewal.

However for now Ibra isn’t focused on that. Instead, he wants to feature on Monday 22 June, in Lecce, or against Roma (on June 28) at the latest.
