GdS: Ibrahimovic wishes to stay in Sweden as long as possible – the latest on his return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have already called several foreign players back to Italy from their respective countries as a return to training grows nearer.

However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Franck Kessie are still missing. The Ivorian has not yet returned due to the difficulties in finding a flight back to Milano, while the Swede has asked and obtained permission from the club to stay and train with Hammarby.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic will return to Italy without problems as soon as Milan ask him to. No one is rushing him, but Ibra’s return could be a matter of days, even the weekend. Then there will be the 14 days of compulsory quarantine required by the protocol set by the government regarding those returning to Italy from a foreign country.

Zlatan is waiting as long as possible to return to Milan because in Sweden, in addition to having the opportunity to stay close to his family, he can also lead an almost normal life and train on the field with the team he owns 25% of in Hammarby.

This will allow him, on his return, to be one of the fittest players in the squad and possibly in the league.
