GdS: Ibrahimovic’s renewal imminent – Milan want to support him with €40m man

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close to renewing with AC Milan, a report claims, and the management know they man they want to partner him.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport writes, the trio of Gazidis, Maldini and Massara are very active in putting the pieces in place ahead of next season, which should hopefully mark a return to the Champions League. The extension of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract for another season should be announced in the coming days, ten at the most, and while the exact figures remain to be understood, his salary will not differ much from the €7m net he currently earns.

However, the management are not finished there, and if the Rossoneri were to return to the Champions League, reinforcing the attacking department would almost become an obligation given Mandzukic’s difficulties in overcoming physical problems.

The first name on the wish list is that of Dusan Vlahovic, who has 13 league goals for Fiorentina this season. He is attracting a lot of interest which means his asking price is €40million, but the advantage in buying him is also linked to the salary, which will be under €1.5m net.
