GdS: Ibra’s brace propels Milan – the Swede among the least satisfied after Roma draw

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic once again left his mark on one of his favourite victims in Roma on Monday night, scoring what could and should have been a match-winning brace.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport notes (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic netted with a toe-poke from a delightful Rafael Leao assist and then scored from the spot to make it 3-2 with 11 minutes to go, but it still wasn’t enough.

As Stefano Pioli revealed, the players were not happy with the draw and certainly among the least satisfied was Ibrahimovic, who is not at all to blame. He netted his third brace in as many starts in Serie A, continuing on from his fantastic performances against Inter and in the Serie A opener against Bologna.

Coronavirus did stop Ibra for a while, but now he is back Pioli and Milan are enjoying his play and his hunger for victories, something that has always accompanied him throughout his career.

It is still forbidden to talk about the Scudetto at Milanello, however there has often been talk of a secret goal and Zlatan in his heart thinks silverware is possible.
