GdS: Investcorp president closely following Milan takeover talks – their goal is clear

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are currently fighting for the Scudetto on the pitch and managed to bounce back with a win on Friday evening. Off the pitch, meanwhile, talks are underway for the sale of the club which seems very realistic.

The Rossoneri have been owned by Elliott Management since the summer of 2018 and they have managed to turn the club into a very stable one. In addition to the results on the pitch, the books of the club are now in order.

As a result of this, Milan’s value has risen and talks are now underway for a sale of the club. Gazzetta Dello Sport reiterates (via MilanNews) that Investcorp, the Arab fund, are very keen on taking over the club soon.

In fact, the fund’s executive president Mohammed Al Ardhi is personally following the takeover talks with great attention. The talks could reach a positive conclusion at the end of the season as the matter has been discussed for a month.

And Investcorp have a clear goal for Milan: To keep the Rossoneri at the top and make them competitive, as well as win the Champions League.

    1. Remember in the January 2020, Milan had been out of UCL for 7 years straight. Management bring back Zlatan and give special mission to him to get Milan to UCL spot. He said Milan shouldn’t fight for UCL spot, Milan must fight for scudetto. 1,5 years later, Milan finish as runner up and now we still have a chance for scudetto. Yes to win UCL is hard, but isn’t impossible. But I only believe if Investcorp still trust in Maldini-Massara-Gazidis

  1. Hope this is not a new Chinese era… I wouldn’t mind continuing with Elliot, if they can invest in 3 positions: ST, RW and AMC. Also a backup LB. Rather steadily and a bit slowly rather like the Li era or PSG circus

  2. This isn’t Li Yonghong situation. These owners have REAL $$$. Berlusconi and the Italian regulators screwed us w that sale to Li. No one did any due diligence – if they did they would know Li didn’t have any $$ of his own and had to borrow pretty much all the $$ he needed to “buy” Milan. Investcorp is legit and is backed by the Arab sovegrein fund which is worth 240b…so anyone who thinks this is a Li situation all over again has not done their homework. We should be thrilled if this sale goes through.
