GdS: Sale, stay or exclusion – Jovic’s Milan future remains shrouded in mystery

By Oliver Fisher -

Luka Jovic faces an uncertain future at AC Milan despite the fact that the transfer window has closed in terms of incoming players for clubs in Italy, a report claims.

During the last few days of the transfer market there was talk of Jovic leaving for a club in LaLiga but the window closed there. Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) talks about a ‘sensational hypothesis’ which has emerged that had never been considered before.

The Serbian striker was not cast aside like Divock Origi and Fodé Ballo-Touré for the USA tour and in the first games of the season, and in fact the Portuguese head coach publicly praised him by stating he was surprised with what he can offer.

With the passage of time, however, things have changed radically. The possibility of signing Tammy Abraham has pushed Jovic further down the pecking order and he was not called up for the Lazio game, apparently due to injury.

The paper adds that Jovic is currently at a crossroads. On the one hand, he could leave to go to a team in one of the leagues where the transfer window is still open, such as Saudi Arabia for example.

On the other hand he might remain and try fight for a spot, yet Fonseca could even decide to leave him out of the squad lists for Serie A and the Champions League if he doesn’t get a move.

    1. Thank our wonderful management team for that and our new leader Zlatan who apparently already went on vacation and didn’t have the time to attend the game lol. I don’t recall a time M&M missed any practices let alone a game. But I guess his vacation couldn’t wait an extra week until the international break, I mean he is god after all

    2. We also have 3 right backs, with both Jimenez and Terracciano able to play there if needed. Meanwhile we have no backup for the offensive midfield position other then Liberali.

To focus so heavily on Emerson Royale instead of bringing in Samardzic, and not deciding to go for Abraham right away and let Jovic go in time will prove costly.

But hey, we got 4 forwards for the CF spot now and 5 possible right backs for that position.

      Props to management

    1. Yes, that’s right. The first thing in choosing Fonseca is because of the small salary. They don’t think about top coaches and champion mentality. So this is bad and look at the results. Sick!
Second, it can be seen from the players who came out. Even they are better than new players. It’s better to put Kalulu than Royal. But unfortunately they prefer to throw him to Juventus. Like Saladmaker.

Come on. Don’t think about chasing Inter or Juventus! Even Napoli continues to build competition.
