GdS: Juventus clash in sight for Krunic but not Milan renewal – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Rade Krunic is expected to be back in time for the big clash between AC Milan and Juventus after the break. While that is in his sight, the same cannot be said for the contract renewal, a report claims.

Krunic injured himself in the game against Hellas Verona and has since been working individually to recover. By the looks of it, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), he will be back against Juventus.

While the Bosnian has that game in his sights, as the newspaper continues, the same cannot be said for the contract renewal. Negotiations with Milan are underway, but the player is asking for €3m per year while the offer is €2.5m per year.

However, given that Krunic’s current deal won’t expire until 2025, it’s clear that there is no rush. The €500k gap can certainly be resolved somehow and everything suggests that the parties will reach an agreement eventually.

For now, though, the conclusion of the contract renewal is not in Krunic’s sights. Given the tough schedule after the break – with Juve, PSG and Napoli in seven says – the player is not even focused on the renewal right now.
