GdS: Kessie to be Milan’s leader in Ibra’s absence again – the club deem him a pillar of the future

By Oliver Fisher -

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic once again sidelined by a muscle problem, AC Milan will look to Franck Kessie as their leader.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport writes (via MilanNews), the “President” has to lead the team at the Olimpico. The contribution of Franck Kessie will be decisive and not just in the middle of the field, as the Ivorian has 10 league goals showing that he can be a match winner too.

Kessie has played with numerous partners this season in Bennacer, Tonali, Meite and even Krunic but always offers quality and physical strength to the Rossoneri. He wins battles and asserts dominance, having become a mature player and a driving force.

The club, of course, will not want to lose one of the most coveted midfielders in Europe. Kessie still has another year on her contract, so there’s time to sit around a table and negotiate. Franck is a pillar of the present, but also for the future.
