GdS: Lethal blow for Juventus could change Donnarumma’s future as chances of renewal increase

By Oliver Fisher -

The future of AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma could very well change after last night’s win over Juventus, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport writes how last night’s game – in which Milan dealt a blow to Juventus that could well be lethal in the race for the Champions League places – could influence the thoughts of Gigio and his entourage.

The goalkeeper has always said he wants to stay at Milan, but words are not as concrete as actions and while the club has asked him to find an agreement and accept the €8m net plus bonuses on the plate, or at least to lower the economic demand from €12m, nothing has moved.

Participating in the Champions League after many years without it makes a lot of difference in Gigio’s evaluations, which is why the match on Sunday evening could have served Gigio and Milan to move closer together. They have never been far away on the pitch, but on the contractual front the negotiation has been frozen.
