GdS: Milan aim to net €5m from sale of winger who could reunite with Rebic

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are working on some outgoings at the same time as they are lining up two or three more signings to complete the squad, and Junior Messias could make way.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) writes this morning, Ante Rebic has already said goodbye to Milan as he joined Besiktas in Turkey, with the Rossoneri thus saving on his €3.5m net per season salary.

Now, he could well be joined by Messias as the Istanbul club are pressing hard to sign the Brazilian too. Milan are hoping to net €5m from a permanent sale given Messias cost them €8m when factoring loan fee and the option to buy.

The former Crotone man managed 12 goals in 68 appearances but the arrivals of Samuel Chukwueze, Christian Pulisic and Luka Romero for the right wing position mean he has been bumped right down the packing order and thus is heading for an exit.

    1. Would you buy him for 8-10 now?

He’s 32; there’s not enough resale value or peak performance years to amortize the cost over. 4-5 is a good range.

  1. Between 6-7 million I think it would be fair. Messias has been attacked relentlessly by a lot of plastic fans when Junior has not been bad at all. Good luck in your future Junior
