MN: Milan aim to secure signing of Chelsea outcast after Ibrahimovic’s renewal

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s response to Milan’s offer is yet to arrive, but the Rossoneri are confident that the Swede will accept it and stay for next season. The economic difference between the parties is minimal, a report claims.

According to MilanNews.it, Milan are offering €5m plus bonuses that are very easy to reach. The total, therefore, will be over €6m. Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic would like to guarantee €7m.

Further contacts with Mino Raiola are expected and as Milan can’t wait indefinitely, they would like to close the issue in order to start other negotiations. So far, the market strategy has been proceeding slowly but that will change soon.

For the midfield, the Rossoneri have set their sights on Tiemoue Bakayoko, the 26-year-old who played for them back in the 2018/19 season. Milan don’t want to exceed €20m, but Chelsea are shooting high with their demands.

The player, meanwhile, has said yes to a return to the Rossoneri, adapting to Elliott’s wage policy. He’s a concrete goal and work is underway to bring him back to Milan, a reinforcement that would bring muscles and centimetres to the midfield.
