GdS: Milan among clubs eyeing Tonali for the summer; Fiorentina saw huge bid rejected

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the race for Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, a report claims, with their president having rejected a huge offer from Fiorentina late in January.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by Calciomercato.com – La Viola made an official offer of €50million to Brescia for Tonali in an attempt by owner Rocco Commisso and sporting director Daniele Prade to try and beat the competition.

However, the ‘no’ that Massimo Cellino responded with was inevitable. The president of Brescia knows that Inter, Milan, Juventus and many foreign clubs are also interested in Tonali, and in the summer they will be ready to fight.

The paper adds that €50million will only be the starting point of the auction, and if Tonali is called up for the European Championships by Roberto Mancini, his price could skyrocket even more.

From abroad, Liverpool and Manchester United have been credited with interest in the 19-year-old.
