GdS: Milan and Juventus monitoring Hellas Verona star but Fiorentina may have advantage

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are reportedly one of a number of sides who are keen on landing Hellas Verona centre-back Matteo Lovato, but a new suitor has now emerged.

A number of sources continue to report that the Rossoneri management have Lovato in mind as a potential defensive reinforcement for the upcoming summer transfer window. A concrete attempt could be made to buy him in the next summer transfer market, with Verona boss Ivan Juric even acknowledging the Milan links recently.

According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), a lot of teams have cast their eye on Lovato including Juventus, Roma and Fiorentina. It is La Viola that may retain an advantage over the other suitors though, because if Ivan Juric leaves Hellas Verona for the Fiorentina job, Lovato would be the perfect gift to welcome the new coach. In addition, Rocco Commisso has the money to pay the asking price.
