GdS: Milan begin initial phase of negotiations over renewal of duo expiring in 2022 – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have begun initial talks regarding the renewal of a key duo who are on contracts set to expire in 2022, a report claims.

With the January transfer window in the rear view mirror, the management are now focusing on new deals for players who have 18 months or less left on their contract.

In addition to captain Romagnoli, Calabria and Franck Kessie’s contracts will expire in the summer of 2022. Speaking on our podcast, Fabrizio Romano shared some details about the duo and the renewal talks, confirming that talks are on with all three as the club want the trio to stay and be part of the future.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) confirms that negotiations are underway with the respective agents of Calabria and Romagnoli, but reveals they are only at the beginning. Their stay at the club is not certain and will depend on the outcome of this season, which will naturally affect club decisions.
