GdS: Milan refuse to give up on Chelsea winger but two things must happen

By Isak Möller -

Hakim Ziyech is keen on leaving Chelsea in January and AC Milan are still interested in his services. An attempt will surely be made by the Rossoneri, but the main issue is which formula they will use.

Ziyech is clearly not in Chelsea’s future plans and he will be looking to move elsewhere in the January window. Milan have previously expressed their interest and could decide to make a new attempt, as per Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The big issue is obviously the winger’s salary, which currently stands at €6m, and it’s a figure Milan never will pay. Should Ziyech decide to lower his claims, though, then a move would suddenly be a real possibility. Of course, Chelsea also must agree to a loan formula.

The idea could be to sign him on a six-month loan with an option to buy, just like Milan did with Fikayo Tomori. It remains to be seen if Chelsea will agree to this and, who knows, Ziyech might shine at the World Cup and attract more interest.

  1. I wish there was an option to mute the words Ziyech, Okafor and Broja.
None of them is coming to Milan.
1 of them salary is way above Milan financial means, and the other 2 price tags are something that Milan rarely pays plus they are unproven.
Ziyech has a 6 mil salary, and let’s be real, he has to be out of his mind to lower it to 4 just so he can come to Milan and fight with Messias and Saelemakers for playing time. He isn’t guaranteed starter, we don’t know what he can do since he hasn’t played much in the last 3 years. And I honestly don’t think he is much better than Messias.
He might be a better passer than Messias but Messias is better at him in 1v1. And Ziyech isn’t someone known for his defensive contribution. We can’t have both our wingers not tracking back

    1. Man, if there is one strong aspect Ziyech, it’s his pressing style. On paper he is fitting very well on Milan’s play style. Regarding his quality, his time at Ajax was well above Messias and Saelemaekers level.

      1. Press and tracking back to defend are not the same thing.
And if we sign Ziyech, will be getting todays version of him , not Ajax version from 3 years ago

  2. Ziyech already said in the summer tranfer window he was willing to lower his salary to come to milan he even changed his manager because he was also demanding a part of the sale
