GdS: Milan confident of closing deal for Barcelona starlet; player says yes to move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are confident about closing a deal for Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo in January, according to a report.

MilanNews.it’s Anto Vitiello reported on Thursday that Todibo has said ‘yes’ to a Milan move, but that Barcelona want to sell permanently and the Rossoneri find the €20million asking price too high, while the option of inserting a buy-back does not interest Maldini and co. either.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday – as cited by MilanNews.it – the deal is feasible, but work is required to get it over the line.

The paper confirms that Barca are asking for €20m for the teenager with competition arriving from the Bundesliga, but that dialogue is continuing between Milan and the Catalan side.

Barcelona need to make cash, so they have decided to put Todibo up for sale and the player has given the go-ahead for a transfer to Milan, with the club’s leadership confident about the possibility of closing the deal.
