GdS: Milan consider Chelsea’s €25m demands for Bakayoko to be ‘excessive’

Chelsea are continuing to play hard ball regarding the potential sale of midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko to AC Milan, a report claims.

Bakayoko continues to be persistently linked with the possibility of a San Siro comeback, having had a successful loan spell in Serie A under Gennaro Gattuso in 2018-19, and numerous reports have suggested that Chelsea do not see him as part of their plans and that the player is desperate to return.

According to Wednesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Chelsea would only need to collect €15million this summer from the sale of the 26-year-old to avoid a loss on the balance sheets.

However, the desire of the Premier League club is to take advantage of Milan’s international to try and make a capital gain, and for this reason they are asking for €25million to sell the Frenchman outright.

The paper adds how Milan – who would like to bring the player back to Milanello – considers the amount requested by the Blues to be excessive.
