The AC Milan management have no intentions of selling or even loaning Rafael Leao this summer despite his struggles in 2021, a report claims.
As this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports, Leao struggles on the pitch, the fans criticise him, Pioli continues to challenge him publicly in the media, but nothing has arrived to suggest he has or will make a leap in quality.
Despite having scored once since early January, Milan seem to place great trust in Leao and the feeling between the Portuguese forward and the club is very strong. It is for this reason that the leadership have no intention of selling the player.
He is not very concrete in front of goal, but Milan are certain that they have got their hands on a player of value for the present and the future. Talent is certainly on the side of the Lusitanian striker, as is age, meaning there there is time to succeed.
As mentioned, therefore, Milan will not let Leao leave, not even on loan. The Rossoneri management have bet on the former Sporting CP man, investing a substantial sum to snatch him from Lille, and firmly believe in his qualities. Rafa will have to raise the level of his performances, but he will not move from Milanello.
