GdS: Milan could abandon pursuit of Chelsea outcast to sign midfielder from their rivals

AC Milan could abandon their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko as the English club continue to play hard ball, a report claims.

According to Monday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Bakayoko is the midfielder that the whole Milan management would like.

The attempts to reach a deal with Chelsea have been frequent and are continuing, but the feeling is that the pursuit is more complicated than expected, as the west London club do not want to lower their demands of a €30m option to buy.

This is why Milan is considering other names, and they may not have to go far from Stamford Bridge to find another profile. Fulham’s André-Frank Zambo Anguissa is the latest target, and the paper claims that the Cameroon international could be the right name for the midfield.

To make room for the new midfielder, youngster Tommaso Pobega – who has returned from his  loan at Pordenone – is ready to go out temporarily again to Serie A newcomers Spezia.
