GdS: Milan could swoop for brand new €60m Real Madrid forward

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could make a shock swoop for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, according to the latest reports.

It is seemingly no secret that the Rossoneri leadership are hard at work trying to give head coach Marco Giampaolo another goalscorer to complete the attack.

Atletico Madrid’s Angel Correa is reportedly the primary target, but Milan have no intention of going beyond the €40million plus €5m in bonuses offered a month ago, which is still short of the asking price.

Maldini is expected to fly to Madrid this week and it was thought that Mariano Diaz may be an alternative target for Milan.

However, Tuesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport has thrown another name into the mix by claiming Luka Jovic is now an option.

Jovic only joined Real this summer from Eintracht Frankfurt for a reported €60million fee, signing a six-year contract at the Bernabeu.

He scored 27 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions for Frankfurt last season, including 10 in the Europa League.

Despite this, the report claims that the Serbia international does not feature in Zinedine Zidane’s immediate plans, and could as a result arrive on loan.
