By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still involved in the race to land Mattia Zaccagni of Hellas Verona and it is disrupting Napoli’s transfer plans, a report claims.

According to a report on Calciomercato.it, Barcelona, Real and Atletico Madrid are ready to move for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz, who has an asking price of €50m despite the fact he is refusing to extend his contract, but Napoli want to sort his replacement first.

They cite La Gazzetta dello Sport in reporting that Ruiz wants to return to LaLiga with Atletico the frontrunners, while Napoli’s sporting director Giuntoli is taking precautions and is trying to set up a deal for Mattia Zaccagni by having offered €10m in January.

The agreement with Hellas Verona is there, but the player would like to wait until the end of the season before deciding because Milan are still involved, but they have not yet submitted any offers. Napoli remain confident.
