Paulo Fonseca being relieved of his duties before or after this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina is a concrete possibility, so AC Milan are considering a range of different profiles including some former European champions.

The Derby this weekend comes at a horrible time for Milan fans. Following the start of the season, and the Liverpool result, hopes are on the floor. At present, the Rossoneri are being led by a manager who seemingly cannot get across his tactics, and his squad are failing to perform in their roles.

Overall, a woeful position to be in before facing the best team in the league.

Nevertheless, the Diavolo find themselves in that position, so now, they must get out of it in some way, and the two outcomes are either sticking with the Portuguese head coach, or moving to another, and there have been suggestions that a decision has already been made.

Several coaches of previous interest have been named once again for the job if it were to become vacant, and there have also been some new ones. As Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News) writes, some agents have put forward their clients, and one manager to have been put forward is David Moyes who won the Europa Conference League with West Ham United.

According to the report, the Scottish manager is being evaluated by the club, as are other profiles, but Maurizio Sarri, who won the Europa League with Chelsea, is believed to be the favoured candidate at present.

  1. AC Milan the only club around that actively tries to give each of its supporters an ulcer.
As discontent I am with Fonseca work up until now this is a collective failure by the ownership, management, coach, staff and the players as well.
They all should take an extra look in their mirrors and ask themselves if they actually like what they see because quite frankly non should be happy about the sights.

  2. Moyes will come to Italy to make deep fried pizza.

Regardless how accurate this article is, it is sad how bad this season has been so far and it is sad to see that Zlatan is looking for another yes man coach.

I am sure they will end up with Terzic, he checks all the marks for Cardinale and his 🤡🤡🤡

  3. Why should we be worried about who will be the next coach?
    Let’s ask the BOSS! 😉
He should know, for sure, don’t you think ?
David Moyes had already a failed Italian experience if my memory serves me right
