Bayern Munich talent Adin Licina is attracting interest from a number of different clubs around Europe and AC Milan are among them, according to a report.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Licina is considered to be the ‘prodigy of Bayern Munich’s academy’ and he is coveted by a number of different big clubs around Europe, including Milan.
He is just 16 years of age, but he is enchanting in the U19 Bundesliga as an ‘underage’ player given that he has five goals and two assists, despite facing opponents who are a couple of years older usually at least.
Born in Landshut, an hour’s drive from Munich, Licina is German with Montenegrin origins and he chose to represent Germany as a youth international, and he is currently part of their U17 side.
As a child he was a playmaker, but his range of action slowly advanced as he climbed the age groups at Bayern. Today he is an attacking midfielder who especially loves to start from the right, to exploit the quality of his left foot, entering the pitch and challenging opposing defenders one-on-one.
Physically he is already well structured for his age (180cm tall), which has allowed him to easily play with older players, without suffering too much from the leap forward.
As mentioned, many clubs around Europe dream of snatching him, like what happened with Yildiz who is now at Juventus. So much so that Christoph Freund (sporting director) and Halil Altintop (responsible for the youth sector) want to extend his deal, which runs out in 30 June 2025.
In Italy, the monitoring of Milan has already begun and they are examining the best way to go about the coup, but the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also keen.
Milan have recently shown a willingness to invest in talent from abroad, as the additions of Milos Kerkez, Dariusz Stalmach, Alex Jimenez, Alexander Simmelhack, Jan-Carlo Simic and others have shown.
Go ahead and try . And if you succeed don’t chicken out just complete the deal unlike popovic
if Milos Kerkez is the example of the “willingness to invest” then i’m skeptic
Why would the “prodigy of BM’s academy” leave a massive club like BM to go to Milan? Why not stay? And assuming he leaves, why not one of the other several top clubs? come on……
