GdS: Milan have strategy in place to seal €45m Correa deal

AC Milan have hatched a plan to secure the signing of Angel Correa from Atletico Madrid before the window closes, a report claims.

The Argentina has been strongly linked with a move to the Rossoneri in recent weeks as he appears to be the name that Paolo Maldini and the rest of the leadership are fixated on.

As we revealed, personal terms have been agreed with the Argentine – who wants a move to the Rossoneri – but Milan at present haven’t struck a deal with Atletico due to their €55m asking price.

Diego Simeone did give Milan hope of striking a deal by suggesting that ‘anything can happen’ with Correa’s future after their friendly against Juventus.

As per Sunday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Maldini and co. do have a plan to try and strike an agreement.

Their report states that Milan are aiming to delay for the time being, and then return to the negotiating table when Atletico Madrid have lowered their demands.

It has been suggested that the current offer on the table is €40m plus €5m in bonuses.
