GdS: Milan hit a wall in their pursuit of €30m-rated Croatian – management will remain patient

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have hit a wall in their pursuit of CSKA Moscow star Nikola Vlasic and sealing a deal will not be easy, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how the name of Vlasic has become very hot in the last few hours as Milan’s search for a new attacking midfielder is underway, but the two clubs still quite far from any white smoke.

The negotiation has just started and there will be a lot of work to do as the parties are far apart at the moment. Milan want the 23-year-old on loan with an option to buy but CSKA will only sell him outright and for around €30m.

However, the Croatia international wants to join the Rossoneri and has already made it very clear to the CSKA management. In the last few hours there have been rumours that he has not shown up for training, but he is actually on vacation until 26 July.

Vlasic’s desire remains to try a new experience and therefore it is not excluded that in the next few weeks he will force his hand to convince CSKA to let him go to favourable conditions. Milan are in no hurry and await news.
