GdS: Milan hoping to sign defender this week and beat RB Leipzig – the offer on the table

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to close a deal for Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan after what has become a drawn-out saga, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), negotiations for Simakan seemed to complicate due to the competitions of RB Leipzig, but contacts between the management and the Ligue 1 club are ongoing and the Rossoneri remain confident as they have player’s preference.

The offer tabled by Milan is €14million plus €3m in bonuses and now they are awaiting the final approval of Strasbourg, who are reflecting having not received any other official offers besides the one from Milan.

The French club need money and that is why the feeling is that the next week could be the decisive one in finally ending what has become quite a long and tedious negotiation between the two clubs, with the competition of Leipzig hopefully to be finally overcome.
